Patrick Hodges, owner of Shiner Pools,  graduated from Texas A&M in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, preparing him for taking over Green Acres, the family business in Gonzales, Texas. Under his leadership, the business expanded to include full-scale landscape design,  lawn maintenance,  irrigation services, and fiberglass swimming pool installation.  

In 2014, Patrick moved the business to Shiner, Texas and rebranded as Shiner Pools and Spas, focusing solely on fiberglass pool installations.  The company specializes in  transforming backyards into a private oasis of fun in one week or less.  The model has exceeded all expectations, and Shiner Pools has grown to serve the entire South Central Texas market installing fiberglass pools from Beeville to Bastrop and now the Brazos Valley.

In 2021 Shiner Pools added Latham Pools to the lineup of fiberglass pools the company offered and expanded full-time into the Brazos Valley region. Shiner Pools has added the Imagine line of fiberglass pools for its’ 2026 lineup. This gives our customers another 34 designs to choose from that are offered by one of the leading manufacturers of fiberglass pools, Explore Industries.

2026 will also usher in our most innovative equipment advancement with the addition of Hayward Sense coupled with our Exclusive Shiner Pool Service that will be offered only to members of the Shiner Family.
